Plummus

Plummus is a great way to put a spin on the classic hummus. It’s the perfect snack that will have your friends and family asking for the recipe .

 

Makes: 4 1/3 cupsPrep Time: 10 minutesCook Time: 10 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  •  
  • ¼ cup tahini (sesame seed paste)
  • 2 x425g cans chickpeas (half liquid drained)
  • 3 tbsp California Prune purée
  • 5 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ⅛ tsp cayenne pepper

DIRECTIONS

  1. Add the chickpeas (with the remaining liquid) to a blender or food processor.
  2. Add the tahini, California Prune purée, lemon juice, garlic, salt and spices.
  3. Blend until smooth.
  4. Serve with crackers, pitta or vegetables.
