California Prune Board to sponsor and participate in INC Online Conference

The California Prune Board is sponsoring this month’s International Nut and Dried Fruit Council Online Conference, which takes place from 17th-19th November 2020. For the first time ever, the INC is hosting its conference online, in response to international restrictions put in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The California Prune Board (CPB) is also exhibiting and speaking at the INC event, which will bring together more than 500 guests from the world’s leading nut and dried fruit organisations. Visitors will have the opportunity to network and debate the future of the sector at the conference, which also includes a virtual 3D exhibition area, keynote speakers and a series of industry webinars.

As part of the conference, Donn Zea, the CPB’s Executive Director, is hosting a virtual round-table discussion with California Prune handler and grower representatives, who will discuss the heritage of the US state’s world-leading orchards, as well as growing methods and future plans for the industry. The pre-recorded session will be aired on Tuesday 17th November at 3.30pm CET.

Kevin Verbruggen, California Prune Board’s European Marketing Director, will also participate as a guest speaker during the Industry Marketing Progams webinar, which will take place on Thursday 19th November, at 7pm CET. Speakers will discuss initiatives being introduced by nut and dried fruit industry associations to increase global consumption.

Kevin says: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring and participating in the first ever INC Online Conference, and we’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to our virtual booth to find out what California Prunes can offer, from their versatility of use to their nutritional benefits.”
