Layered Breakfast in a Jar

“Have you ever tried a homemade sweet granola that has no added sweetener? This recipe will amaze you I’m sure! It is very easy to make and thanks to California Prunes, it becomes even more nutritious and delicious. Perfect to enrich your breakfast, snack or a HEALTHY snack on the go!”

INGREDIENTS

  • For the Granola: 
  • 120g oat flakes or buckwheat
  • 10-12 California Prunes
  • 200g apple or pear puree, cooked or alternatively apple butter
  • Additional Ingredients:
  • 250g vegetable yoghurt of your choice
  • 10 California Prunes
  • Dark chocolate to taste
  • Fresh fruit to taste

DIRECTIONS

1. Pour the cereal flakes into a large bowl, add the cooked apple or pear puree (previously blended well) with the California Prunes and mix (mixing until smooth).
2. Transfer the mixture to a baking sheet with parchment paper (leveling well) and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 15 minutes. Or until it’s dry and crunchy!
3. Blend 10 California Prunes with plant-based yoghurt until creamy.
4. To prepare the breakfast or healthy snack in the jar make several layers of granola and yoghurt, add dark chocolate flakes, California prunes and the fresh fruit.
